  • The Heart of the City Piano Program was started at Pleasant Hill Community School in the fall of 1995 by Richard DubĂ©, the classroom music teacher. 

  • Special thanks goes out to the hundreds of volunteers who have given so generously of their time and spirit over the years.

  • Super special thanks goes out to the hundreds of students who have shared their spirit through participating in the joy of making music. 

  • Thanks to extremely supportive principals and staffs the program has thrived in a very challenging learning environment. 

  • Thanks goes out to Melinda Anderson-Grass, Donna Johnston-Martel and Corinne Olson for sharing in this vision and bringing the gift of piano lessons to the children in their respective communities.

  • Thanks goes out to the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra for donating the many tickets over the year that have made it possible for the Heart of the City Piano Program students to attend numerous concerts
